Vintage 1960s Glazed Cabinet Mid Century Beaver & Tapley Bookcase EB11536 MWOO

Vintage 1960s teak glazed bookcase made by Beaver & Tapley as part of their multi-width range. This has nice mid century British styling with the brass handles, shaped front edges and base as well as its symmetrical, clean design and warm toned wood veneer. This features two sliding wooden doors with a nice rich wood veneer concealing a cupboard space. At the top there are two glass doors each has one height adjustable shelf in it with a nice angled front. All of the sliding doors are removable, creating an open fronted bookcase if desired.

CONDITION:

Fair vintage condition.

The unit is fairly clean and doesn’t have too many scuffs or scratches, there are a few marks on the legs however. The top has been carefully refinished and is in good condition. The upper section inside the glass doors is clean. The main issue is the lower sliding wooden doors have warped and because of that are slightly stiff to slide. There is a slight gap on the upper corner joints but it isn’t loose. On the bottom left sliding door there is missing veneer on the side edge, only visible when the sliding door in open.
