A lovely vintage 1960s teak ‘Volnay’ sideboard designed by John Herbert for A Younger in 1956. This oozes midcentury class with a lovely curving top, solid teak sides with lovely rounded edges, and oversized solid round handles. The front has a lovely warm teak veneer and it sits on a solid teak base. There are two side cupboards, each with a fixed height shelf, and four central drawers - the top has four dividers and a green lining. Even the backing is a lovely bit of teak veneered ply which would look beautiful if on show. This has a real quality to it and has a nice amount of aged patina without affecting the overall look. A stunning piece of retro British design.

 

CONDITION:

Good vintage condition.

There are some minor age related scuff marks and slight sun fading over this unit but nothing that detracts from the overall look. There is a more noticeable shallow scuff on the front face of the drawers. The green felt lining of the top drawer is slightly stained. There is a slightly darker area on the right side of the top. There are some minor marks inside the cupboards and around the handles. Overall the unit is structurally sound and none of the minor cosmetic marks affect the lovely look.

DELIVERY

We currently charge a flat fee of 60 pounds for delivery.

The delivery time varies from 1-2 weeks but can take more, or less, time in certain circumstances.

We are happy to quote prior to purchase, combine postage and ship abroad. 

We will require assistance if personally delivering - a two man option is available on request, at additional cost.

If a third-party courier service or pallet delivery is chosen you can expect a door only delivery.

Free collection is welcomed.
