A very impressive 1960s to 1970s mid century styled open sideboard or display unit designed by famed British maker Archie Shine for the department store Heals. This has lots of excellent vintage styling with the great rounded inset solid handles and the use of beautiful veneer with a striking grain. This is partially open-fronted with two inset drawers on the right and a larger drop door cupboard on the left. There is plenty of great shelving space. The top has been painted black due to it being converted from a larger unit.
CONDITION:
Good condition - There are a couple of minor chips on the side edges. The sides have some general sun fading. The top has been painted black and has some texture to the finish as well as some visible joint lines near the edges. One of the drop door hinge supports has been removed - some minor filled holes where the screws were. The hinges have some small cracks but are still solid. There is a small discoloured are on the inside bottom shelf. The front looks great and overall its a solid unit.
