Vintage Arkana Tulip Table Oval Aluminium Base 1960s Maurice Burke EB11877

Here we have a beautiful vintage 1960s oval tulip table designed by Maurice Burke for Arkana. This has great space age midcentury styling with its lovely curving horn shaped aluminium base and oval top with a lovely wood grain and a black painted underside with a lovely curve up to the top edge. It has a real natural form and sleek timeless use of contrasting materials. This is in a really good condition and would make an amazing bit of retro impact furniture. This seats eight people comfortably and the base can be unscrewed for access. Good to very good vintage condition. The base has some minor scuffs and scratches as expected for its age. The top surface is in a really good condition with just a few minor scratches which aren’t too visible and a small area on one end which has been filled to repair a chip. There is a faint darker area in the centre of the top but it’s not too noticeable. Overall, it’s a structurally sound and very impressive thing. Height 73.5 cm Width 187 cm Depth 108 cm
