A chunky and impressive 1950s solid mahogany, deep chest of drawers. This is a beautifully well-made item with a very minimal and utilitarian British post-war design style. This has very chunky, near inch thick solid mahogany around the frame and the drawer fronts and features lovely cutouts for the handholds. The drawers are incredibly deep and this would make a perfect store for artwork.


Continuing the no frills minimal style the top has exposed screws to attach it to the sides and the sides have some light coloured visible filler where pins connect them to the cross members. There’s been a repair on the right side in the bottom corner with a suitably chunky piece of wood. This has some sun fading and marks on the top but it adds to the character of it.


CONDITION:

Good overall vintage condition.

This has some sun fading and marks on the top and a large square repair on the right hand side at the bottom and plenty of general signs of use but none really detract from it and add a level of age charmed and patina to it. This is very structurally sound and solid (and weighs a lot too).

The delivery time varies from 1-2 weeks but can take more, or less, time in certain circumstances.

We are happy to quote prior to purchase, combine postage and ship abroad. 

We will require assistance if personally delivering - a two man option is available on request, at additional cost.

If a third-party courier service or pallet delivery is chosen you can expect a door only delivery.
