A lovely 1960s vintage teak oval extending dining table made by G Plan as part of their Fresco range. This is a classic mid century British design and features a well grained teak veneer on the top, a lovely curving solid teak trim around the outside and nice tapering solid teak legs. The top pulls apart revealing a butterfly hinge extension which folds out to seat up to 8 comfortably.
Good vintage condition - the top surface has been refinished and looks lovely with just a couple of very small worn spots on the edge. There is a small chip in the solid teak edge close to the centre joint (see photo). One leg has a historic split but has been re-glued and is completely solid and not visible from the outside (see photo). The top opens easily with just a slight bit of resistance as it's fully extended but not to a frustrating degree. Overall, this is a nice looking structurally sound piece of vintage furniture.
Height 73 cm, knee height of frame 61.5 cm
Width 163 cm, 209 cm extended
Depth 112 cm
