A beautiful vintage 1970s deep sideboard or chest of drawers designed by Trevor Chinn and Ray Leigh for Gordon Russell Prestige.

This has a really striking retro look with the intense and contrasting wood grain and the curving chrome handles and base. This has a nice charcoal grey/ black vinyl wrap around the side and back contrasting the wood grain. There are five deep drawers and one has a lovely removable shelf with two plastic inserts for inks or small items. even though there is visible wear the the finish especially looking into the light, this is still a really lovely and hard to find item.

CONDITION:

Fair to good vintage condition - The thick lacquer finish does have quite a lot of minor scuffs and scratches and some small lacquer chips on a drawer front and at some edge points but still has life left in it. There is a general sun fading on the wood but as its quite even it doesn't look too bad. There are a few small dinks on the edges but nothing too bad. The key is missing. Overall even with some wear to the finish it's still a really impressive and very well built thing.
