A rare and impressive 1960s mid century large walnut executive desk attributed to Richard Shultz for Knoll Furniture. This has a really beautiful walnut veneer all over which has really popped due to a careful re-finish. The chrome frame really completes the vintage look.
There are four drawers and two pull out writing drawers / platforms all with curved handles on the inside. The top surrounding edge is a solid block of walnut in keeping with the high quality of this piece.
N.B This is very heavy, we strongly recommend that this doesn't travel up stairs unless there is extra help to deliver and the space has been double checked.
CONDITION:
Good overall with cosmetic age related defects. The chromed steel has some rusting and wear - the two back legs have a rust proof silver coating at the base visible in photos. There are a few scuffs on the right side and lots of shallow scuffs on the back. The top, sides and front have had a re-finish and look really good. There are light scuffs inside the top pull out writing drawers and scuffs around the knee area. The bottom drawers have had damage to the outer hand hold as you can see with the curved side - this doesn't look too noticeable or affect use. Overall it's a very impressive thing even with the noted issues.
