A 1950s vintage large circular satinwood pedestal dining table in a antique 19th century style. This has great marquetry details on the top with a chevron pattern circling the outside and a starburst insert in the middle. The outer edge has a nice carved pair of tram lines running around it. The base is very solid and has lovely shapes with a brass inset running along the feet.
This is an absolute gem with excellent quality of construction and workmanship.
CONDITION:
Fair to good vintage condition - The top surface is fairly clean and doesn't have many scuffs but the finish has some areas where it's slightly more matte and some which are slightly more satin (only noticeable in certain light). The top edge is in good condition with a few minor scuffs. There are visible dowels but these are in the original production. The base has some scuffs on the feet ends and some very minor joint gaps which don't affect the stability.
N.B The top is held on with 8 bolts and 4 screws - the outer most bolts tighten very well but the inner four are slightly loose. It can still be lifted up from the top with no concern of pulling the top off.
