A lovely vintage 1960s extending teak dining table made for Vansen and designed by Peter Hayward. Vanson furniture was produced by W.G Evans & Sons Ltd, aimed at producing high-end furniture. This has a great mid-century look with a lovely warm teak veneer on the top and fun bowtie shape to the ends. The side edge has a nice angled exposed plywood. The round legs are slightly tapering and made of solid mahogany. The top slides apart revealing a storage space for the extension leaf which slots into the middle allowing eight people to sit comfortably. The legs are fixed in place.

CONDITION:

Good overall vintage condition.

The top is in a really nice condition with just a couple of minor marks. There are a few minor scuffs and marks around the edge, and the legs have a fair amount of small marks near the bottom. There is a small filled in bit of damage on the corner of the extension leaf. The tops slide apart smoothly and the table is structurally sound. Overall it’s a nice looking thing.
