A vintage 1960s teak and walnut sideboard designed by Peter Hayward for Vanson. This is a beautiful example of British mid century modern design and features a beautiful teak veneer on the top, lovely walnut on the doors, and a great curving shape on the sides. The base is nicely shaped out of solid teak with gentle curved edges. There are four central drawers, the top one has dividers and an aubergine coloured felt lining. The left hand door concealed a cupboard space with one fixed height but removable shelf the right hand cupboard has a half depth shelf which is also removable. The interior uses a lovely light contrasting maple interior. The drawers feature really fun square shaped solid wood handles. Overall, this is a lovely quality piece and has had a nice restoration to bring out the beautiful veneer.
Good vintage condition – this is had a careful refinish on the front top and sides which is made them look really good with just a few minor marks on the sides. The top edge trim on the left and right hand side has a small section of replaced veneer which is visible but blends in sympathetically with the original design. There are some marks on the inside, including a darker discoloured spot in one of the cupboards and some marks in the drawers. Overall, the unit is structurally sound and really good looking with a few noted cosmetic marks but nothing that takes away from the look of the unit.

We currently charge a flat fee of 60 pounds for delivery.

The delivery time varies from 1-2 weeks but can take more, or less, time in certain circumstances.

We are happy to quote prior to purchase, combine postage and ship abroad. 

We will require assistance if personally delivering - a two man option is available on request, at additional cost.

If a third-party courier service or pallet delivery is chosen you can expect a door only delivery.

Free collection is welcomed.
