A very unique and impressive 1950s octagonal white faux bamboo, rattan and glass large dining table with 8 matching chairs originally purchased from Harrods. This has a great height of summer, Victorian conservatory feel to it. The tabletop is split into eight sections each with a panel of triangular glass inside. Underneath the table the legs are joined to a central post. This comes with eight matching chairs with Violet coloured silk like cotton cushions which can be removed if needed. The chairs will have rattan seats underneath the cushions. This is a really unique and uncommon item with tonnes of character.

CONDITION:

Fair to good overall vintage condition

There are quite a few little chips to the white paint on the edges but it adds a bit of aged charm and doesn’t detract from the overall look visually. One of the pieces of glass has a chip in one corner which is quite sharp but once it sits inside its position it’s not a risk.

The seats have a lot of wear to the paint underneath the cushions, with some paint flaking off. The cushions themselves have a few minor marks and some tufted areas on the fabric but are in a fair condition. The table is in a good condition, structurally it has a slight amount of movement expected with its construction - the same is true of the chairs. There aren’t any loose joints but there are some cracks in the paint at a few of the joints.

Some of the glass panes sit slightly proud due to the rattan lifting them up, but overtime they should settle down and would sit flat with some weight on them.
